Share A Coke Campaign

 

If you've been around any at all the last couple of years, you had to have seen Coca Cola's Share A Coke Campaign somewhere.  Whether it be a commercial, an advertisement on a billboard or in a store, or even just seeing the bottles themselves on the shelf, you've seen it.  I think it is brilliant!  Coca Cola is already a household name, bringing in the big bucks for sure, but I wonder how many people who don't even really prefer Coke went out and bought one just because their name was on it! 

Just in the little bit of research I did, I found that you can even go to their website and have bottle customized with whatever name you want!  Just think, if you were having a family reunion, you could place an order at $5 a piece for bottles of Coke that has your family's name on it!

Michigan and Hawaii partnered with McDonald's and Coca Cola to promote tourism in their regions.  I also saw that even some countries had commercials inviting you to share a Coke with them.

Recently, they have also taken lyrics from popular artist's music and put those on the labels of the drinks, as well.

I think the marketing team at Coca Cola is very clever and creative!  I bet they had all the other bottling companies scrambling to keep up.
